
ELCIN BAHCECI is an independent documentary filmmaker and a consultant on education policies.
Elcin holds a BA and MA from Sciences Po Paris (Paris School of International Affairs – PSIA) as well as an MA in Creative Documentary Filmmaking from the French National Audiovisual Institute (INASup) and École normale supérieure (ENS).
Elcin’s experience in the audiovisual industry includes film production (Alegria Productions, 2019) as well as festival management and industry production (FIPADOC International Documentary Film Festival, 2019-2022). She is currently directing her first feature-length documentary, Moored, while working for international festivals in programming (Cinéma du Réel Paris, 2023), documentary project selection (Sheffield DocFest MeetMarket, 2023), and industry production (IDFA Amsterdam, 2022).
Elcin also serves as a consultant and evaluator at Learning Avenue – Fabrice Hénard, where she contributes to reports and policy papers on public education for international organizations and ministries.
