Nada Serhan Exhibits Work in Athens

PICT faculty member Nada Serhan was selected to participate in the photography exhibition “Monochrome,” hosted by Blank Wall Gallery in Athens, Greece. Serhan’s submission, entitled “Lost,” was displayed as part of the winners’ exhibition from March 6 to 18, 2020. “Lost” is part of Nada’s self-portrait photography project, “The Withdrawal.”

The Monochrome International Photography Competition, through which the exhibition is curated, is an annual event focusing on the potential of photography in the absence of color. “Monochrome photos are never just what they show,” the gallery website proclaims. “The absence of color, instead of weakening the image, makes it stronger and more imposing.
