PICT Launches Student Ambassador Program

We are excited to announce the PICT Student Ambassador Program, an initiative that aims to bring together an international and interdisciplinary cohort of students under the PICT umbrella. Our goal is to create a milieu for all people currently studying at universities to engage with each other, develop ideas and projects, and share these with the broader PICT community.

In this student-run initiative, we will creatively reimagine the role of students within and outside the university. We will analyze burning issues that concern us all, such as the neoliberalization of education. We will explore ways in which universities can work with institutions such as PICT. And we will share our ideas via The Thinking Cap, a dedicated blog on the PICT website.

As government regulations continue to restrict our coming together in person, we must put our heads together more than ever to stay connected. The Student Ambassador Program aims to enrich the PICT community with a student voice. We look forward to engaging with all of you in this new way as the project unfolds!

If you would like to become a PICT Student Ambassador, we’d be delighted to welcome you to our community! Just visit the PICT website, complete an application, and send it to us latest by March 2021. And please reach out to Emily Laurent-Monaghan, our Student Ambassador Program Director, with any questions or comments you may have.

Application deadline: March 1, 2021

In Solidarity,

Your PICT Team
