REBECCA CARSON is a UK-based philosopher with a special interest in Continental Philosophy and Marxist Theory.
Rebecca is a Lecturer in Critical and Historical Studies at the Royal College of Art, London, and is completing her Ph.D. at the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy, Kingston University, London. Rebecca’s dissertation, supervised by Étienne Balibar, focuses on the philosophy of time and the concept of “fictitious capital” in Marx. An assistant editor at Marx & Philosophy Review of Books, Rebecca regularly contributes to academic journals such as Consecutio Rerum and Continental Thought and Theory. Her publications include the articles “Fictitious Capital and the Re-emergence of Personal Forms of Domination” (2017) and “Money as Money: Suzanne de Brunhoff’s Marxist Monetary Theory” (2018).
